Happy Halloween!!!

We had so much fun trick-or-treating!!!  The best was when Davis started saying MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I think I forgot to mention that Dad bought the boat!!!!!!!  He bought it, he bought it, I can't believe it....he actually bought the boat!!!  We're going to Lake Havasu again next week to celebrate Grandpa Tom's 60th Birthday  :)

Daddy's 1st Little Present

Looks like Daddy can't help himself either :)

BTW, I just bought the little ladybug shelves!!!  A hardworking couple with 3 kids makes all the shelves by hand--they support their family with the money while both parents are in school full time and they home school all the kids.   It just made my decision that much easier to know that I'm helping :)

People of Walmart

Have you been to PeopleofWalmart.com???  It is THE funniest website I think I've ever seen.  I had my very own experience with a Wal-creature yesterday so I thought I would share  :)

Nothing like check out with a relight in your mouth!  John likes his hair the best

31 weeks 1 day

Today I got to hang out with Davis all by myself for the very first time!  I know it sounds weird but with his mom being the most overprotective person I've ever heard of and the fact that John is his Daddy and wants to spend all of our Davis time with him-I've just never had the chance before to have a full day with just the two of us-And we had soo much fun  :)  We took Rusty to the park, played Wii, turned off all the lights in the middle of the day to make our own little "movie theater" and then went to go meet Daddy at the golf course.  I have to admit my favorite moment was when he said he didn't want to leave to go see Daddy and he just wanted to stay here (even though I'm sure it had more to do with our dogs and the Wii then me-it still just made me smile!)  Being around him all day just makes me want to be a full time mommy even more!  Less than 8 weeks away!

To shelf or not to shelf?

I received the ladybug bedding set!  I really like it except the bumper doesn't fit correctly on our crib  :(  I'm going to make sure the way I tied it is safe because I've heard different things about having blankets and bumpers and how they can increase the risk of sids.

So on to my next project!  I ordered Ava's nursery letters today for above her crib and I'm now debating on putting in a couple shelves on the same wall.  I took this picture which shows where her name will be and where the shelves would be on the right....I like the idea of having somewhere to put a couple items plus one has three pegs to hang up towels or blankets--PLUS they match our little ladybug theme!

Here are the shelves-but I would get them both in white

Decisions, Decisions

I can't sleep!!!  This is the 4th night in a row and believe me it's not because I'm not tired...I just can't seem to get to bed :(  What's worse is the damage it has on my credit cards-It's too tempting to just start buying things online when you're up in the middle of the night and nothing is on tv.  Anyways, I'm still on the Chicco stroller (I'm shocked!) but now I'm torn on which color.  I really like the pink and grey but if we have more children, and we have a boy, then it wouldn't be really useful.  On the other hand I don't really plan on having any more babies (at least not for awhile) and the stroller is good up to 50 pounds so it would really last a long time for Ava.  Plus if we have another child there is still a 50% chance it would be a girl right?!?!  So here they are...

And CLICK HERE for the link to the awesome website with a demo!  Wow...I'm so easily amused right now haha

My Little Ladybug!!

So I decided on Kids Line Ladybug for all of Ava's bedding and decor!!!  I think the green will go really well with the pistachio paint and I really want to make her side of the room super pink and girly :)   Soooo I went ahead and purchased the bumper, comforter and a matching blanket.  Unfortunately the valance and skirt won't work with our set up but I would still like the hamper, sheets, mobile and some kind of wall art.  I'm debating between a guy I found on Ebay that custom paints hanging letters to match the Kids Line Ladybug theme and also a few others that I found on Etsy.  I really need to figure out if I want just AVA or if I want to include her middle name ROSE.  I have a feeling that just AVA will be too small but AVA ROSE would be over doing it.  Plus I feel like there's still a slim chance her name may change...John seems really against that idea though.  It's so nice that we really found a name that we both love!I wonder if these knobs would work on our crib/changer?Maybe have sweetartboutique custom paint AVA on canvas to match our theme?

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy, First of all, I can't wait to meet you! I've been kicking Mommy as hard as I possibly can to get out but it seems like it's not doing much good...I think I'm stuck in here until December. I'll make sure I grow big and strong for you while I'm here but I just wanted to say thank you for working so hard for Mommy and I-we really appreciate all your hard work and Mommy seems really happy with you. I heard that you're a really great Daddy and I'm looking forward to you watching football games on your lap and letting you spoil me rotten :) I promise to be a loyal Wisconsin fan as long as you promise not to scream when my diapers smell really horrid. Love your little Princess, Ava

30 weeks!

Unfortunately our camera broke and it's going to be at least another week until I get it back.  I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and I'm definitely starting to feel tired again.  I had to stop going to the aerobics class and walking around the lake is getting harder as it literally takes my breath away--but I still love it!  The days have been much cooler so we're going to start walking in the afternoons which is great because I've been having the worst sleep ever!  Our little girl decides to start jumping around in the middle of the night and her kicks and turns are so vigorous that I simply cannot sleep through them anymore.  I feel so lucky to have John supporting us because at this point having a full-time job would kill me!  I'm exhausted!

On a happier note I think I finally found a stroller!!!  It's a Chicco travel system and it seems perfect!!!  (Note:  I found this online last night during one of Ava's kickboxing sessions so I haven't actually tried it out yet)  I really want a stroller that is safe, has a nice sporty pattern,   has a tray and cup holders, is easy to fold, and affordable.  I love the idea of a travel system because if possible I would like to skip the snap and go stroller since you really only use it for a couple months.  I was seriously looking into a Graco travel system but all their patterns are hideous!  Then I loved the peg perego but the stroller you have to buy to make it a system is impossible to fold and the other one I found, the SI, doesn't have a tray :(  I've changed my mind probably 5 times already about strollers but for some reason it seems like the biggest decision I have to make right now...or it's just something keeping me occupied  :)

Speaking of BIG decisions did I mention that Dr. Katz wants to induce on December 18th???  It would be 9 days before my EDD but she said that she feels very comfortable doing it and even went as far as to set it up already at the hospital!  It seems like a good idea for a few reasons...we would be home for Christmas, the hospital would probably be a lot less crowded (they said the busiest time of the year is the last week because of the tax deduction), and she may be a little smaller so there's a higher chance I can have her "naturally".  John's coming to my next appointment with Dr. Katz to discuss it further but I am worried about a couple things...making sure her lungs are fully developed, the chances of having a c-section going up, and the degree of pain caused by inducing labor-I heard the contractions are much more intense!

Last Wednesday we went to West Hills for the hospital tour which was great!  They seemed REALLY organized and REALLY slow!  They only deliver 100 babies a month and have a nurse for every patient.  The only downside is there's a 2% chance of sharing a room since the rooms are set up for it but they said that 98% of people end up getting their own room and it's great because then the husband sleeps in the other bed :)  They also have a great program where you spend the 1st hour together with your baby to encourage breastfeeding and "kangaroo time" which is skin to skin contact with your baby.  Then they'll take her to be cleaned and examined with John while I get a little time to rest before they get back.  I'll be able to have Ava in my room with me all the time except for when the pediatricians come to check on the babies or if I want a break to take a nap.  I think I'm going to want her as close to me as humanly possible the whole time!  Another nice thing is that John is allowed to bring any food in so I'll be sure to bring lots of take out menus  :)
