Goopa

I just want to make sure I get this down.  Ava constantly talks about her sister named "Goopa".  She tells long winded stories about Goopa not listening or how she has a boo boo or how her sister has exactly whatever it is we're talking about at that very moment.

LAKE HAPPYSUE!!

We're off to lake "Happy Sue" this Thursday!!!!  We're taking both the kids and Rusty, full car!

Hmmmm lately we've just been having play dates and going to Caitlin and Mindy's showers.  Caitlin is having little Harley and Mindy will finally have her Camille!  They both look super cute pregnant and it'll be fun to see how close there kids are born to eachother since they are both due June 15th.

John's been running for the past two weeks, getting ready to run a 5k with Karime in Wisconsin.  Ava's very excited to see her cousins-especially Abbie....she can't believe she actually has a cousin with the same name as Abbie from Sesame Street.

Davis has been so much fun!  We took them to disneyland a couple weeks ago and he was a blast!  He actually was picked from the crowd to participate and did an amazing job.  Him and Ava love spending time together.  I'm really enjoying watching them because I know it won't last forever.  I would say their favorite games are "Jump on Daddy" and "Mr. Fox" I can't wait to see them in Happy Sue.

March 2012

The last 4 days Ava has slept through the night (knock on wood) AND woken up with a DRY diaper EeeekK!!!! I think our little princess might officially be POTTY TRAINED!!! On the one hand I’m obviously very happy about this since it will save us a small fortune on diapers—but on the other hand it makes me a little sad that she’s really grown up enough to use the restroom like a big kid. We took her to Disneyland yesterday and I only had to take her to the bathroom 3 times throughout the day and she didn’t have any accidents.

So Ava did have her 2 year old check up and as we already know—she’s PERFECT! Dr Rubin said her speech is advanced and to cut out the chocolate milk! It’s really just ovaltine so we’ll try and limit the amount but it has vitamins so I don’t think a little will hurt. She’s 50% for height and is 34” tall---she almost made it on her first roller coaster yesterday but we were told she’s half an inch too short. Ava is 25 pounds which is 28% and her head circumference is 18” which is 50%.

In other news, Davis is NOT allergic to soy either. Who knew?!?!? Oh yes, I did. At this point his mother has lost all creditability and seems like an overprotective paranoid loser. She really ought to have Davis in school like a normal child and get herself a job. Also, the fact that Davis is STILL sleeping in her bed at 7 years old is starting to creep me out--to be perfectly honest. She spends every waking moment with him-he’s homeschooled, has no friends, no extracurricular activities. Is this not enough time to be with her son? What’s it going to take? Him having a wet dream on her face to realize that it’s weird? Even if that happened I think she would continue.

No More Frost!

Until now I never considered "frost dates"....but now I am officially determined to have a garden that will produce tomatoes, blueberries, asparagus and plenty of flowers! I turned Ava's old kiddie pool into my above ground garden and we'll cross our fingers that things work out!

In other news, Davis has now been spending 2 night weekends with us again since the beginning of the year. After the meeting with Melissa last week he apparently will also be calling twice a week and spending an afternoon with Daddy every week as well. Things are definitely changing...finally! It's now been proven also that he's not allergic to bananas, berries, eggs and tomorrow we're hoping to add soy. At this point I think it's highly unlikely that he is even allergic to nuts...I think we all know who the nut is in this situation?!?!?!?

Ava has been perfect....she loves loves school. She did get sick for the first time at school last week, it was sad. She had a fever and she was all snuggled into the principle when I came to pick her up. I'm glad she's so close to my office....I was able to pick her up within six minutes of them calling me. What else?? Umm she's been speaking in full sentences, loves to take Rusty on walks and her go to phrase is "Rusty is Outside" because we keep him outside while we're away during the day. Ava loves to play hide and go seek and is actually quite good at doing both....last night she counted to 10 while playing!!! I didn't even know she could do it, but sure enough Heather and I both heard it.

Work is still great. Candy sold her house in a day but promises she's not leaving me anytime soon. I'm trying to replace our janitorial and valet companies which is more of a challenge than you would think. John was transferred to the Technology department of his company which wasn't really his plan.

Dad had his hip replaced in January and he's up and walking around. It was a major surgery but he seems to be healing quite well. Ava's 2 year appointment should be on the 14th at 930-I just don't know how on earth I'm going to get there! We'll figure it out though and I'll write an update soon.

Night night.
